It is urgent to reinvent the OFF button that has disappeared from our lives and reclaim the right to use technology without being used by it.

THE MANIFESTO
The OFF Manifesto is a wake-up call to citizens and authorities, highlighting the critical juncture we are reaching in our relationship with digital technology. It sets out a series of concrete measures in order to face this challenge for the future of our species.
It has received support from over 500 international figures from a wide range of fields — including science, culture, business, law, health, education, and more.
INITIATIVES
Digital technologies have embedded themselves into nearly every facet of our daily lives – often failing to keep its promises. Without even realising it, we’ve been used by it — instead of using it. But the spell is breaking. The anaesthesia is wearing off: with each passing day, more people realise that the very tools meant to set us free are in fact enslaving us.
OFF FEBRUARY
In February 2026, the OFF Movement launched the first edition of OFF February, a social experiment to face the challenge of hyperconnectivity on a global scale.

Madrid hosted the OFF Festival's first edition, bringing together international voices to reflect collectively on how we want to relate to technology.
OFF Cafés
An OFF Coffee is not a conference or a class. It is an opportunity for people to turn off their mobile phones for a while and share their thoughts, concerns and experiences about the impact of digital technology on our daily lives.

But to efficiently fight back and move the frontline further, we cannot afford to remain isolated.
Our ambition is to weave together local actions and shape them into a global movement.
