The OFF Movement is a global network driving critical reflection, civic mobilisation, and concrete action to address growing digital alienation. It was born from the OFF Manifesto, a founding text warning of how certain forms of technological deployment exploit our human vulnerabilities, and setting out measures to ensure that technological development serves people – not the other way round. The Manifesto has been signed by more than 300 prominent figures from science, culture, medicine, law, philosophy, and business. OFF calls for creatively and collectively reviving the Off button.
