The passive consumer of content

You are in the subway. On your left, someone scrolls endlessly on TikTok. On your right, another person watches Reels on Instagram continuously.
You don't want to watch. You keep your eyes fixed straight in front of you. Even if you are not interested in what your seat neighbors are doing, your field of vision of almost 180 degrees captures the variations in light, images, movements and bright and saturated colors that surround you.
It is impossible to disable this information entry because your peripheral view does not know how to close only some part of the eyes.
You become a passive consumer of content. Even if you don't want it, your neighbor's dopamine spikes also affect you, without you having anything to do with it.
Just as the passive smoker does not choose to inhale the smoke of others, you do not choose to be invaded, distracted, stressed or stimulated by what surrounds you.
This hyperconnection is no longer limited to the screens we choose to turn on, but extends to those around us.
If, in addition, you are with your children, they end up finding it normal that every moment of their daily lives is occupied by platforms that numb their brains.
If we have understood for years now that smoking in public places was harmful and disrespectful, why don't we regulate this other drug that is not consumed only by the person who administers it to themselves?
How do you find the idea of creating "scroll free" wagons? Or spaces without smartphones in restaurants?
